The goal of these sessions is to create a customized mental training program designed specifically to address any mental barriers you may find yourself up against.
Not just for athletes! We will take the same no-nonsense approach that we use with world class athletes to help you succeed in business, relationships or any area of your life that you would like to improve.
These sessions can be done one on one or over the phone.
We begin with a short phone call or e-mail exchange in order to get an idea of who you are and what your goals are.
After that, we give you some mental homework in order to prepare you for the one on one session.
The session lasts approximately one hour and includes the following,
- Identification of unique negative thought patterns
- Creation of mantras and positive affirmations specifically designed to target mental handicaps
- Workshop on various sports psychology concepts, and training methods
- Customized hypnosis or guided visualization exercise which client may record for future use.

My Story
In 2004, a terrible crash nearly ended my racing career. When I finally returned to the bike my confidence was shattered. I pursued many avenues of rehabilitation and ultimately sought out renowned Australian Clinical Hypnotherapist, Dr. Rick Collingwood who at the time was breaking new ground using hypnosis to ease the pain of terminal cancer patients. With Collingwood’s help, I returned to racing with a new enthusiasm and unshakeable self-confidence. This confidence not only impacted my cycling, it spilled over into all aspects of my life.
I was convinced that sports psychology was the aspect of my cycling training that had been missing for all these years. I was eager to pass this newly acquired knowledge on to my coaching clients and teammates. However, I discovered that despite all the power meters, heart rate monitors and other training tools on the market, a cycling specific sports psychology tool did not exist.
Collingwood and I put our heads together and based on his scientifically proven hypnotic techniques, we created The Ultimate Cyclist which addresses the three most important aspects of success: focus, confidence and relaxation.
The biggest thing I learned through this entire experience is that the mental tools used in sports, crosses over into all aspects of ones life. I look forward to working with you to help you succeed in the game of life!
